“Pappy Appacha” is a new malayalam film directed by Mammas. Paappy Appacha film spins is all about a wealthy father and son, who were shrewd and notorious. There had been many films depicting the father-son combos in Malayalam. They owned schools, bar, hospital and many other institutions. Kavya Madhavan (Anne) appears as a new teacher in the school. Annies father is a social activist. Annie (Kavya Madhavan) stands against the greedy father-son.
When the bussiness is not doing so good they resort to insurance fraud.
Kavya is teacher in the shcool run by the father and son. Annie had besotted Paappy ( Dileep). Both had a dispute while they were in school after Pappi played a prank on her in school. Annie’s decision to contest election against son changes the plot and things start rolling from there.
The movie seems to focus on Dileep and his mannerisms rather on the narrative. There are comedy scenes that one finds it very hard to digest. Dileep could have appreciated better with out untimely comedy. Kavya’s role as a school teacher is outstanding. However, this time Kavya -Dileep chemistry is not up to the mark.
Suresh Krishna and Asokan did a good job as villains. It is directed by Mammas and the music is composed by Vidyasagar. Only kids can stand overdone comedy of Dileep.
Main Cast: Dileep, Kavya Madhavan, Suresh Krishna, KPAC Lalitha, Asokan, Rajeev, Kochupreman, Majeed Edavanakad, Manikandan, Chembil Asokan, Thesni Khan, Manju Raghavan and others
