She plays Bhavani, South sensation Suriya’s love interest, in the picture. Talking on how she landed the character, the heroine says, “Ramu ( Ram Gopal Varma) had seen me in Paruthiveeran and thought I will be apt to play Bhavani. When he tried to make contact with me, I was filming in Langkawi with Puri (Jagganath sir) for a Telugu flik.
Ramu and Puri are nice friends and he had explained to Puri sir regarding the film. When Puri sir advised me regarding Ramu’s phone, I was very excited. I adjusted my dates for a different picture to be a part of this film.” Priyamani hasn’t signed any Tamil picture in recent times while her hands are full with Telugu and Kannada films. However the heroine states she is eager to do additional films in Kollywood. “My last picture was Raavanan and presently, I have this. I’m more than keen to do a straight Tamil picture, However I haven’t been offered any genuine movies till currently. I don’t plan to do a picture here just for the sake of performing one. I desire to act films that I want be proud of. I would gladly do another rural-based picture like Paruthiveeran since it got me acclaim,” Priyamani states. Yeah, and a National Award too!
